THE SOCIAL PASSPORT
This project is about finding and defining peoples social dna. Analysing the DNA in our body tells us a lot about our physical apperence and can predict some features or diseases, but hardly tells us anything about how we behave, our interests, what we care about and what we do. Most people have a passport, but this only shows which counrty you belong to and physical features. In my project I choose to focus on the passport format, because this is a way for something abstract to become physical. Our passport also defines where we are allowed to go and what we are allowed to do, but in our soceity, people are, in addition to this, judging you by your social media profile and what they can find out about you online. In this project I have taken a critical approach to this, and therfore wanted to focus on what you post about youerself online. On the other hand I think a focus on your personal qualities rather than which country you come from has some merit. Thats why I made the social passport. I imagend that we in the near future would have to have some kind of social passport, to show/make it easier for future bosses, roomates, partners etc. The social passport is a selection of important information about you, based on what you post online and your personal qualities, and not where and when you where born. The idea is that everyone can have this passport, because it is about what you are and what you make of yourself.
