I am an norwegian student studying at The Bergen Academy of Art and Design, where I am undertaking a BA in Visual Communication. Currently I am on an exchange to The Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam where I study Graphic Design and Digital Craft, I find that one semester abroad at WdKA will underpin the broad fundament I have acquired in the field of visual communication.
Prior to this I have attended the Rudolf Steinerschool, where I found my fascination for traditional handcrafts, as well as Krabbesholm Højskole, a university college in Denmark, where I studied graphic design for one semester, and architecture for another.
I am very interested in how people, with different cultures and bakcgrounds, interact with each other in a changing and diversified world. I want my work to create interaction and reactions, exploring the space between the artist, the piece and the audience, as well as being committed to environmentally friendly processes, underlining the inate relationship between humans and nature. I like to combine digital and analog techniques in my work, it is important to be up-to-date with new technology, even though I have a big passion for old traditional handcrafts. Comunication by combining the possebilities of typography, print making and graphic design is an element of my work I look forward to explore further.
